Makers & Gamers is all about developing our member's thinking and fine motor skills through an integrated, socially driven and stimulating activity! This inclusive program is facilitated by Active Eight’s Occupational Therapist with one-on-one support from Brisbane Boys College grade 11/12 students.  

The program will work on developing skills in problem solving, lateral thinking and team work. Members will be encouraged to explore and create in a supportive environment. 

All technology equipment is provided by Active Eight. Limited places per session!

Children and adolescents who love Minecraft, Lego or anything tech and construction! If you are looking to foster analytical, creative and practical thinking skills in a social environment, this is the program for you!  We are able to cater to children of different ages and abilities, so please contact our staff for further information.

What to expect...

BBC boys and A8 members will work collaboratively to participate in robotics, gaming and construction based activities. Our Term 3 activity will involve researching the history and concepts of buildings and constructing them on Minecraft, while collaborating with friends. Activities will be interest driven and engaging, developing skills along the way.
